University of Nebraska-Lincoln within the USA is giving scholarship to fifty Rwandan students to register for CASNR undergrad Scholarship Program (CUSP) who will like to learn in USA.


Applicants are going to be considered on the basis of meeting Nebraska undergraduate admission requisite, academic achievements, a promise to the goals of the scholarship programmme as well as a qualitative in-country interview which is to be conducted by the members of CASNR and the university’s Office of Admission.      


 University of Nebraska–Lincoln, chartered in 1869, is an academic establishment of international stature. Nebraska, a member of the massive 10 Conference and also the huge 10 academic Alliance, is classed with  the Carnegie “R1: doctorial Universities – Highest analysis Activity” classNebraska University Itself is a land-grant university and a member of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). The university is commissioned by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of schools and colleges. The University was founded in Feb 15, 1859.


Description of Scholarship

  • Deadline For Application: DEC 21, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are For Undergrad programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are given within to study in school of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) for the fall 2018 term.
  •  Scholarship Award: Students who are selected to be part of the program can receive full scholarships, which comprises of tuition, fees, living expenditures, and travel permit.
  • Nationality: Scholarships are only for Rwandan students.
  • Number of Scholarships: fifty scholarships are made available.
  • Scholarship will be taken within the USA.




Scholarship Eligibility:

Eligible Countries: Scholarships are only made for Rwandan students.

Entrance Requirements: At the time of finishing the scholarship application, participate must be;
  • You Must Hold Rwandan citizenship.
  • You must Have graduated from high-school by the beginning of the educational year the participant is applying for or is being transferred from a university. If you have got completed a Bachelor degree certicificate program, you're not eligible to register for this scholarship. If you have got not completed a Bachelor degree certificate program, you will apply. Cambridge International syllabus and examination results can be used.
  • You must Have an interest within the agricultural field of study (food production – animal, plant and food systems; conservation agriculture, soils, water amount and availability; energy and environmental stewardship; business, entrepreneurship and leadership; nutrition, food safety, food engineering and processing; communication, public service and extension education; ecology, conservation biology and climate; and engineering, irrigation, mechanization and technology)
  • You will Write a 500-word essay answering “Describe your future role as a frontrunner to develop the agriculture sector in Rwandese Republic.”
English Language Requirements: Meet University of Nebraska-Lincoln English proficiency needs for full admission


TOEFL score of seventy with a written sub-score of twenty
IELTS score of 6.0.0 with a written sub-score of 5.5
An English Proficiency examination is going to be taken by students elect for associate degree interview for those who haven't taken the TOEFL or IELTS


How To Procedure For Application

  • How to Apply: By April 2019, finalists should be ready to Apply for and meet all University of Nebraska-Lincoln admission needs.
  • Provide a sealed copy of S4, S5 and S6 educational transcripts with category ranking.
  • Provide a replica of national examination results after your interview selection (March 2019).
  • Meet University of Nebraska-Lincoln English proficiency needs for full admission
  • TOEFL score of 70 with a written sub-score of 20
  • IELTS score of 6.0 with a written sub-score of 5.5
  • An English Proficiency examination is going to be offered to students elect for  interview who haven't taken the TOEFL or IELTS


Please rigorously review the procedures before finishing the application:
  • Before starting the appliance, if you're a secondary student, you want to take an image of your most up-to-date faculty progressive report showing marks in percentage (for example, 72.2%).
  • If you have got already completed a Bachelor’s degree program, you're not eligible to register for the scholarship.
  • Please note that your official school transcripts are going to be collected in Kigali, if you're elect for  interview.
  • If you have got not taken the TOEFL or IELTS,  English Proficiency examination are going to be provided to finalists in Kigali. The TOEFL isn't a demand for the CUSP Scholarship Application.
  • Please complete the appliance in one sitting. you can't shut the appliance and are available back to that later.
  • Please use CORRECT FORMATS as shown in examples. Otherwise, your application is also shown as incomplete.
  • You must write you’re an essay (up to five hundred words) on “Describe your future role as a frontrunner to develop the agriculture sector in Rwandese Republic.”
